Regent Cleaning has retained its status as official cleaning contractor at the legendary Yorkshire County Cricket Club. The company, which won the contract in 2010, is also this year’s player sponsor of the club’s swing bowler, Ryan Sidebottom.
For the Regent Cleaning team, all the action takes place at the 17,000-capacity Carnegie Cricket Ground (above) – home to the Yorkshire County Cricket Club since 1891 and a venue for Test Matches since 1899.
The cricket ground forms part of Headingley Stadium, a multi-sporting complex in Leeds, now known as Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground.
“We’re really pleased to find our work for Yorkshire CCC so highly valued,” says Regent Samsic joint managing director Jonathan King.
“This client has enabled us to put the service concept of partnering into practice, allowing our teams to assimilate fully into the day-to-day running of the site. “Consequently, everyone knows what they are being tasked, lines of communication are shorter, and the contract runs smoothly.”
A winner of three County Championships with Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire (twice), Ryan Sidebottom (above) is the owner of 22 Test, 25 one-day and 18 Twenty20 international caps as well as a World Twenty20 winner’s medal. Two stellar seasons in 2013 and 2014 could see him achieve the milestone of claiming 1,000 wickets in all forms of professional cricket.
He became only the eleventh England player to claim a Test match hat-trick whilst on tour in New Zealand in early 2008 taking 10 wickets in the match at Hamilton and a 24 in a three-match series.
